Hi there, can you answer me a question before I ask my client to buy the plug-in please?

    1. Re the archive page – I want mine to look roughly (ie in line with my theme etc) like this one that you display including the search box but mainly displaying the list of terms with their definitions below them:

    https://codeat.co/glossary/glossary/

How do I do that? With the free version I only got a list of linked terms and when you click on the glossary term it didn’t show the term title. Could you please confirm that that is possible as it’s the main reason we want to purchase.

    I’m running X theme on WP 4.8.3

    Thanks in advance.

Actually the support for frontend enable the support of WordPress for archive so it is on your theme to support the view as you want.
What you see in the demo site is the default behaviour with a wp theme of the archive without any changes (only to use the excerpt instead the content).

Or are you looking something like https://codeat.co/glossary/shortcodes/ with the shortcode [glossary-list]

    Cheers

Hi,thanks for getting back to me Daniele. Still slightly confused. Which shortcode do I put in the page to show the list like the demo one with the excerpts?

right now this is what I have got (with just free version installed for testing). Should it be displaying the excerpts?

If so it might be a theme issue. You might also notice if you click through on a term that they are not showing their headings. I prefer your plug in to CM – would really like to make it work.

So, if you want to see like on the demo you need only to not check the settings: Disable Archive in the frontend for Glossary Terms and Disable Archive in the frontend for Glossary Taxonomy.

After that flush the permalinks and you will have the archive, for that you don’t need the pro.

For the other points depends on your theme how support the others post types.

Tried that, settings are as you suggest. Unfortunately it’s not working. I’m using this shortcode alone placed in the text editor of my theme – is that right?

    [glossary-terms num=291]

Sorry to bug you but I can’t ask them to buy it unless I am sure it will do what we want.

Did you refreshed the permalink on: settings-> Permalink and click on Save Changes?

The shortcode is only to get a list not for an archive of post types.

Yes, I refreshed the permalinks. Which shortcode should I use to get what I want then?

I think I’ve got it. Still can’t see the headers though. Guess I’ll need to put them in individually in the glossary terms. Thanks for help.

One more thing – is the search glossary terms you have in the sidebar on the page I originally posted only available in pro?

It is a widget and is available only on pro version the search one ??
