    Hello,

On your second screenshot, I would like to see what you have if you click on “All”.

I have seen this happening with another install once. I know the plugin is confused with something but I am not sure with what.

Would you mind giving me access to your install? You can contact me at [email protected].

    Sent you the details.

Thank you. After some debug, I think I fixed it. Can you check?
I need to release a new version but I already updated your install.

The standard WP sizes are disabled right now (they are all 0x0; this was not properly handled by the plugin before). There are 3 more sizes appearing in red, they are set-up by the plugin. However, the images created by WP for them don’t exist, probably because you installed the theme you are using after the upload of the images. In that case you need to use a plugin that re-create the thumbnails. The retina plugin will automatically create the retina versions of the images if the original is big enough.

Thank you so much for the incredible support.

I actually uploaded the photos after the theme was installed. So I don’t believe that would be the issue.

Also, the plugin is still behaving a bit strange. I have to click on “Retina” option under the Media menu to produce the photos with issues. If I click on the “Issues” option at the top, everything disappears.

Also, I saw that there was an update available for this plugin, so I updated it on my main site I still can’t generate the thumbnails. May I ask what you did to produce the thumbnails on my staging site?

Actually, there was a bug on my side originally showing too many red squares. This is my fix.

Then something was off. The fact it disappears/re-appears it not normal at all and since the appareance of those attachments can be managed through other filters (and so other plugins/themes) I disabled your SEO plugin and 2 more. It didn’t change anything. Then I installed the default WP theme, switched to it and it started to work perfectly. I read the code of your theme very quickly and there was a few strange lines but they weren’t call anywhere and I didn’t want to spent too much time… I switched back to that theme (the original one) and it was all fixed.

I also now just re-tried on your staging with the new version, it works fine. You can Bulk Delete the retina files, then Bulk Generate.

Thank you again for the detailed explanation.

I followed your steps and everything appears to be working with the default theme. However, it doesn’t seem to be working with my current theme.

Soon as I activate my current theme, all the thumbnails in the Retina option disappears and the yellow triangular exclamation mark appears in the Media menu under the Retina column.

I guess I’ll have to reach out to the theme developer to see if he can help resolve this issue.

I really need this plugin and I will purchase it soon I can get this issue with my theme resolved. Thanks again for everything.

Really? Because I got it to work with you theme, but it’s true I had to go through the normal theme. Did you try Refresh in the Retina dashboard? Try it. If it doesn’t, ask for the theme developer to see if he has a clue on what’s going on.

    (@snapshott)

    So here’s what’s happening.

I performed a Bulk Delete and hit Refresh. All the thumbnails under the Retina menu options show up as they should (under the Issues menu).

When I hit Bulk Generate, all the thumbnails disappear from the Retina menu, and I see a green check mark under the Retina column under the Media menu option. But, when I test it out on my iPhone, I don’t see any difference in the images.

If I hit Bulk Delete again, all the thumbnails show up again.

I’ll have to talk to the theme developer to see what’s going on.

The thumbnails disappear after you generate the images? Do you have the Retina in the admin enabled? You could try to disable that.

    Thread Starter Math

    (@snapshott)

No, I don’t have it enabled in the Admin in Retina enabled. I tried enabling it and disabling it, still get the same result.

    (@tigroumeow)

But everything works on your staging env right?

    Thread Starter Math

    (@snapshott)

Staging environment is facing the same issue.

I initially didn’t touch any of the changes you made yesterday, but I didn’t notice any change in the image resolution when I viewed it on my iPhone. So I decided to perform the update, delete bulk and generate bulk again.

Hello Math, did you contact the theme developer? Did you find out something new?
