    Hi all,

    I’m moving from the wordpress.com to a self hosted wordpress and the ability to install qTranslate-x (which is really nice) is one of the main reasons.

    But I’m facing the following issue: When I set “Pre-path mode” for “URL modification mode”, the home of my site doesn’t get shown properly. Instead, the content of the folder is listed. For example:
    https://www.lucianomolinari.com/ (This works OK, default language English)
    https://www.lucianomolinari.com/pb/ (This doesn’t work)

    However, this works properly when I’m seeing a specific post, the only problem is for the home page.
    When I choose “Query mode” all the pages work properly, including the home.

    I’m using the latest version of qTransale-x, downloaded from github.

    Many thanks.

    Regards,
    Luciano

    Hi @gunu,
    Yes, that’s right. I’m using “Post name” in the Permalink settings.

    @lucianom,

    did you use this version 3.2.9.8.3 ?

    If not, download it here

    @gunu,

    I have just upgraded it:
    Adds user-friendly and database-friendly multilingual content support.
    Version 3.2.9.8.3 | By qTranslate Team | View details

    But the problem persists. It’s interesting because if I type https://www.lucianomolinari.com/en regardless whether “Hide URL language information for default language.” is checked or unchecked, it works. But if I try the “pb” language it doesn’t work.

    Even more interesting is that I’ve added one more language (de) and it also works! Just the “pb” is not working..any suggestion?

    Thanks

    @lucianom,

    What is in the following settings – Settings – General – WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) ?

    Also check the language Settings, Languages – Languages – Edit language – Locale = ?

    @gunu,

    For both WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) is https://www.lucianomolinari.com.

    The locale for “PB” is pt_BR and for “en” is “en_US”.

    One more info, if I make “pb” the default language, when I enter in the website, it automatically redirects to https://www.lucianomolinari.com/en.

    Delete cache and cookies for a “clean” approach to the website/

    Wondering what it does as pb is the default language.

    I’m using an anonymous session on Chrome. As soon as I set en as the default language again, it stops redirecting to /en. (I’m using “Hide URL language information for default language” as checked).

    I really appreciate your help. I’m also a developer, so I know that sometimes the best thing is to check the problem in the real environment. If you want to do that please let me know so I can pass you the login details.

    I have sent you the details.

    @lucianom,

    maybe a strange question, but is there a folder named pb in your root?

    @gunu,

    Jesus! Yes, I don’t know why, but there was a folder named pb in my root. Removed and it did the trick!

    Many thanks for your help and for the plugin.
