Pre-order multiple products

Hi!

Are you using our own extension WooCommerce Pre-Orders here?

It is compatible with the back order function in general. However, you’re quite right, it’s only possible to buy one pre-order product at a time. Our documentation here explains this.

It’s a popular suggestion among users of the plugin and you could add your vote to our Ideas Board here if you’d like to express interest in the feature being added.

I did also find a discussion over at StackOverflow where users had found custom code workarounds. I can’t vouch for these solutions, but it could give you a starting point for a custom solution.

Well, it does not make much sense in my opinion, and I will gladly vote for this to become a feature.

Anyway, I will try to find a custom workaround.

You’re welcome. I can understand the need for sure. The explanation given in our docs is that it is this way to prevent conflicts with payments (since users can use many different payment gateways, which may or may not support different functions, it can be difficult to account for all the possibilities). But the Ideas Board is a good way to help our developers prioritise next steps with plugin features.

For help with customizations, you can always approach a developer on our WooCommerce Customizations Page if you wish. Or you could join the WooCommerce Slack Community where many developers do hang out!
