    Hi Gioni,

I’m very impressed by what I read about the plugin and I have a couple of questions before I try it:

    1. Can I set it to block ALL login attempts except for those from a couple of IP addresses? (I could not find this under settings).

    2. When a user is blocked for unauthorized login attempt — I’d prefer this to be ALL attempts except for those from the whitelist of IPs — can I have them blocked forever (or until I remove them from the blacklist that the plugin generates?

In other words, for reasons of server resources, I don’t want to have to have the system repeatedly reprocessing the same IPs attempting to login. So, for how long can offending IPs be blocked?

    3. Similarly, what is the default settings of the Non-Existent User blocking in terms of duration of blocking? Can I set this to forever, or one year, or until I remove it from the blacklist that the plugin generates?

    4. Lastly, can I access the blacklist the plugin generates to remove entries?

    thank you very much!

    Hi, Josefus!

    1. Yes, via IP Access Lists. One rule blocks the whole world with wildcard mask: *.*.*.*. The second one permits access for a specific set of IPs.
    2. Nope. If you want to block some IPs forever, you need to block those IPs manually. This is by design and approach. You have to manually set the period of the blocking with a value up to 999 hours. Actually, you don’t need to care about resources because the plugin works very effectively. You should know that “blocking forever” will end up with a list of millions of malicious IP addresses. That will really impact server performance.
    3. The duration is the same as in the previous point.
    4. Yes.

Finally, man, just give a try and you will not be disappointed ??
