• Hello, I’m running a membership plugin that somewhat has pp integration. Has membership packages, pricing tables, members can see prior purchases. It also allows or ties in with wp registration. However, the process is; click a buy button (not pp created), fill out reg info, click submit and it takes them to pp for payment, upon payment completion they’re redirected to site login page. It’s a great plugin up until this point as the plugin has payment pending and the customer is denied login. (account not yet active) This was with a pp sandbox account with personal account paying from pp balance not an echeck. The other issue is I want to offer a free trial which pp can handle. Subscriptions is what I’m selling as I need recurring. I see you have at 6 subsrc hooks that would probably be of use here.
So my question is, do you think your Paypal IPN for WP plugin would be something I might be able to tie in to put the finishing touches on this other plugin? Or the other plugin’s developers could use it.

And just to pick your brain regarding the subscription with free trial. Is it even possible without pp created buttons or a full blown paid pp merchant/pro acct to have people brought to the correct plan with free trial. The 3d yellow buttons are cool and everything and have been for years but………I know, brand recognition. Prob the only choice with the free services.

    Thanks for your time.

I’d have to spend some time playing with the plugin(s) you’re referencing to be sure, but yes, it sounds like it needs to make use of IPN.

You could hook into our IPN plugin to trigger updates of any data tables necessary to enable user logins, update payment status, etc. It would happen in real-time, so by the time they get to the login screen it should already be updated and allow them paid access.
