Pre-Install Question: I already have a post-type called “Products”

    I already have a custom post-type named “products.” The post type contains about 300 products. If I install WooCommerce, will it wipe out my custom post-type or will it use it and display my existing products?

    BEFORE TRYING ANYTHING, please backup your site!
    It should not remove them, you will see them, but it will not appear correctly as a Woocommerce product.

    One thing you can do is change the custom post type of old products to something else. THEN do 2 things:
    – change in database the product type for current products
    – change in code the post type from product to the new name

    Making the change in a good way it might work
