    Hello,

I’m interested in deploying BruteProtect to a multi-site environment. Before I do, I have a few questions:

    1. What happens if BruteProtect goes down? Can my users still login?
    2. What data does BruteProtect collect?
    3. This ties in with the second question, as well as the BruteProtect FAQ which states that “Everything that we currently offer will always be free.” How does BruteProtect plan to make money and keep the service up?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Gabe!

    1) If the BP API goes down, your users are presented with a math-based CAPTCHA (2 + 3 = ?)
    2) BP collects the IP addresses of users who failed to log in, the version number of your WP install and your BP Plugin, and one administrator email address (the one you use to generate your API key). We do NOT collect usernames, user emails, or any other data without your opt-in (which is optional)
    3) We intend to offer additional services this spring at a cost. We also will ask our users in the top 3% of API calls to help support our costs, but this will not be mandatory.
