• This thread is just here to shine some light on the PageMash plugin by Joel Starnes. It works excellent if you need a fast and easy way to re-arrange your wp_list_pages() or hide pages from your menu bar.

    Love it! A+

  • PageMash is awesome. An obvious candidate to inclusion into core, IMHO.

    Have a quick question wondering if someone could answer for me re: this plugin…

    I’m using WordPress as a CMS. As such, I need to have subpages of pages but not have them appear in the main menu (certain subpages will be visible whilst others will not be — having them all visible would be a NIGHTMARE!).

    Using this plugin to “hide” the subpages, can you still link to them in a post or page and have the reader get access to that subpage by clicking the link? Or does it make the page private?

    Thanks in advance for your help!

    @nerdspawn:
    “hiding” will just hide the link from the menu, so yes you can still link to the page.

    I too am getting the “Error: Update Timeout” error. I don’t remember if it came after an update or not. I use PageMash on several other sites on my server with no problems.

    I turned on $ShowDegubInfo where does the output go?

    The debug info should show deriectly on the screen after you press submit.

    There’s a chance it might be caused by me using the incorrect case on a filename which I’ve been meaning to update.. so I’ll get back to you on that one.

    OK pageMash v1.1.6 fixes the incorrect filename case, see if that resolves your issue.

    Pagemash works ok with qtranslate, it just shows the language info on the title bar.

    Great plugin!

    Hi – someone mentioned that this plugin works – but will be slow – with large numbers of pages. Does this apply for the backend operations or the frontend user experience?

    I’m building 100+ pages for my advertisers but they must load fast enough.

    Only the administrative interface will run slower with large number of pages.
