Practice Calendar

  • I’m having a difficult time getting my calendars to match the layouts like you have in the tutorial videos. There some minor issues, for example There doesn’t seem to be a consistent pattern of which team appears first (I would expect home team to appear first). Also, I can’t get the list of games to appear in the correct order (most recent game first). Mostly I just can’t seem to match the designs in your tutorials. The documentation doesn’t seem to get into enough details.

    Also, I’m trying to add my team’s practices to a calendar but the calendar seems to only work with actual matches. Is there a way to create a calendar for practices in SportsPRess?

    I have a similar issue with a calendar set to show future events only (Status = Scheduled, Sort by = Date, Sort Order = Ascending). But the list view of the calendar lists the events in Descending order only no matter what I set the Sort Order to.

    However, in the side bar widget version it DOES list them correctly in Ascending order.

    Eugene, try this…

    You can set Event template to Sportspress under Appearance -> Customize -> Sportspress -> Sportspress settings. It should solve the problem!

    However my developers have disabled access to altering the template. It’s a catch 22 though as the template is one of the two key elements of my site that I’ve paid them for (the rest I can do myself) to get something unique (as anyone can throw up a WP site and use a free/cheap template). So I don’t know if I want the capability to mess with it myself.

    However your post confirms the issue is with their template so up to them to sort it ??
