PowerPoint and hyperlinks

  • I want to run a PP file that has links to Word docs in it. What’s the simplest way to implement this?

    Right now I have a link to the .pptx file but it downloads vs running on web server and therefore I cannot link to the word docs on the server.

    Any advice is appreciated. thx.

  • Powerpoint files cannot be “run” on a web server. It has nothing to do with WordPress but relates to how server’s are configured.

    Any suggestions on how to create hyperlinks inside of a PP?

    At present when I access the PP it downloads to my local machine. When I go to add hyperlinks it only sees files on my local machine not on the server…

    You cannot display a powerpoint file on a web site. Web browsers simply cannot view such files.

    ok…so work around…recreate a new page for each PP slide and then link from the page?
