Powerful but too instrusive

  • Despite the popularity of Yoast plugin, it’s too intrusive and causes problems in WP admin. One issue is that it causes major lag to the WP editor in slowing down keyboard commands and typing.

    We are sorry to hear you’re experiencing problems with our plugin. Are you running the latest version of Yoast SEO 7.3 and WordPress 4.9.5? We ask as we always try to include performance improvements in every release.

    That being said, there are some open reports in our development repository about slowness in the WordPress backend under specific circumstances. You can see the list of issues that are currently being investigated on this link.

    On the other hand, if you find the plugin too intrusive, you may want to consider disabling some of the plugins features under “SEO > General > Features”.
