  • I love the new Blubrry player. In fact, I switched from Libsyn just to use it.

    Bug: Blubrry Player Pulls Show Feed Title Rather than the Episode Title

    As you can see here: https://www.novelmarketing.com/123 the show title is “Novel Marketing” rather than “123 – What the New Facebook Changes Mean for Authors”. You could also pull from the title ID3 tag.

    Feature Request: Disable/Change Email Subscribe
    We have MailChimp RSS to email for new episodes. This allows us to send out special announcements and promotions. Having a second email subscribe button that goes somewhere else is confusing for our users.

    The ideal functionality would be if the player integrated with email services like MailChimp and ConvertKit. An easy way to do the integration would be to allow podcasters to designate a URL the email subscribe button goes to. This way it could work with all email subscription services without having to integrate with any of them specifically.

    You can get embed codes for individual episodes thru the Manage Episodes link inside your Blubrry Podcaster Dashboard. You can use these in place of the player automatically embedded by PowerPress that shows only the overall show title. These individual episode embeds. Will show episode titles instead.

    I will also forward your feedback regarding the Subscribe by Email service to the Blubrry dev team.
