When I attempt to load the Redirection admin UI while uiPress lite is active, I get stuck in an infinite loop of “NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource” errors in the console, with the page attempting to AJAX reload every few seconds. The REST API endpoint (or one of several) that Redirection is using when uiPress calls the page seems like it might be /wp-json/redirection/v1/plugin/test/, which appears to be a health status check. The slug in the URL for the Redirection admin page is /tools.php?page=redirection.php. If I directly navigate to one of the sub-page tabs within the Redirection admin UI that has an extra parameter appended (/tools.php?page=redirection.php&sub=support), then the loop stops and I can navigate back to the main “Redirects” page (the one without an extra sub parameter) without an issue.

I’ve tested thoroughly, and deactivating the uiPress plugin resolves the page loading loop. I initially thought it might have something to do with a security plugin, but disabling that had no effect—only disabling uiPress.

    Hello,

Yes we are aware of this issue, the redirection plugin strips all URL params when entering their settings page which causes the loop because uipress needs to add params so it knows whether the page is framed or not.

There is unfortunately nothing we can do on our end at the moment but we wil message the plugin author of Redirection and see if there is anything they can do to change the plugin behaviour.

Hello, the author of the redirection plugin wasn’t able to help but we have managed to push a workaround into todays update – this should now be fixed in v3.1.0

    Thanks,

    Mark
