    Hi,

I have been having a long running plugins update problem where I get a notice that there are updates available, I update them successfully, then they are still listed and haven’t actually updated.

I thought it was W3 Total Cache that was the problem as if I deactivated this the problem went away. However, they have never heard of this problem, and so I did a test by deactivating AIOSEOP and this also made the problem go away.

So, although it is not conclusive which one could be causing the issue, it does seem there is a clash between the two.

Is any body else able to replicate this bug?

    Thanks, Andrew

    Hi,

    false alert, sorry!

I have just recreated this problem on another site of mine, I have the same issue, but deactivating AIOSEOP doesn’t solve it, so please don’t worry about this clash!

Should anybody else be suffering from this, I resolved the issue by deselecting Object Cache in W3 Total Cache

    Hi Andrew,

That sounds to me like an issue where the object cache had some incorrect information in it and needs to be flushed; out of curiosity what were you using for the object cache backend there, i.e., Disk Enhanced, APC, Memcache, etc.

    Hi Peter,

The main Page Cache is Disk Enhanced, but the Object Cache was on Disk (no enhanced or other option available).

I had tried emptying caches etc, but nothing stops it from happening except disabling it.

    Thanks again, Andrew
