    Hello!

    Whatever option I use with link of the potd it always links to a file. No other option works.
    I use latest version.
    Shortcode: [wppa type=”photo” photo=”#potd” widget=”potd”]
    “Random Picture”

    Any hints anyone?

    Set the linktype in Basic settings -> Links -> II -> Item 3: Sphoto Single photo link.
    You need to specify a page where the result must be displayed; this page needs a wppa shortcode; if it is not the same page where the shortcode is on, use [wppa type=”landing”]. The first wppa shortcode on the target page will be used.

    At the moment I have set:
    Links -> II -> 3: Lightbox
    Links -> III -> 1: Lightbox

    When lightbox is chosen it won’t let me choose the landing page obviously.

    When image on the page with POTD shortcode is clicked is reloads the page. After the reload a new image is showed and then if clicked it is OK.

    Links -> III -> 1 works only when you use the wppa widget. Setting widget=”potd” in the shortcode has only effect for the wppa interal caching but not for the links.
    Can you supply me a link to the page so i can see the behaviour you described?

    or you can just inspect the page and look for “wppa-container-wrapper”.

    It looks like a conflict with another active plugin that can do lightbox like actions.
    If you can disable that feature, try it.

    The first picture you see a second is from wppa lightbox.
    The final picture you see is not from wppa.
    It has ‘lg’ in its names in the html; probabaly a shorthand for a plugin name, like
    wppa stands for wpphoto-albium-plus

    Does this ring a bell?

    Pls give me a list of all your ative plugins

    (@bodzio16)

    No it does not ring a bell. I have a lot of plugin, maybe there is something wrong. However to make it work OK, but in a different way I wanted to change the behaviour of a link of POTD to a “picture itsefl” on a landing page, but it is still a “lightbox”.

    I changed it on the LINK potd link settings. The single photo is still lightbox, since i want the gallery photos to work in a lightbox, and the potd on a landing page.

    Your shortcode says: type=”photo”. This means the links are the links for a single photo, i.e. set in Basic settings -> Links -> II -> Item 3: Sphoto Single photo link.

    In Links -> III the links are configured for the Widgets, so if you want that, you should not use the shortcode, but the classic potd widget.

    (@bodzio16)

    OK, I get it, however the classic widget does not look nice on my website, take a look.

    (@opajaap)

    Yes, i have seen that
    On a second thought, i understand your confusion, so i will make the following change in the next version:

    Using the block widget for the potd (or the shortcode [wppa type=”photo” photo=”potd” widget=”potd”]) will use the image link as specified by the potd settings.

    (@opajaap)

    If you update to todays release version 8.8.06.010 you can use the block potd widget version; it will use the link as defined on the photo of the day settigs page.

    Thank you. Works fine.
