I just made four or five posts and created two new categories to my clients’ WP site and they’re not showing up. The posts are in the DB. That’s for sure. But all I get is a Not Found error when I try to view the page. I just installed WP on my clients’ root server. And the DB is set up properly. So I’m lost on why I don’t see anything show up. BTW, I have Permalinks set up for Date and name based tags.

Without a link we’re totally guessing. But if I had to guess…

Your Permalinks are broke. Check that page for troubleshooting tips.

In particular, confirm with your host that mod_rewrite and AllowOverride are both on and enabled.

What happened when you set Permalinks back to “Default”?

OK. I’ve got a better clue because of that. See the site is https://www.filmco-op.com which currently has an index.html page so I’m currently using https://www.filmco-op.com/index_test.php temporarily until the site is completed. So going back to default on the Permalinks does bring up content but it’s site’s index.html page that show ups on for example, https://www.filmco-op.com/?p=6

So how do I let it know that it should really be looking for index_test.php instead of index.html until we’re ready to launch the redesign?
