• Resolved beddingdeals

    (@beddingdeals)

After updating to WordPress 6.2, and Classic Editor 1.6.3, posts won’t load.

To be specific – the page itself loads, but the content doesn’t show. Nothing can be written or edited, and the word count shows 0. The loading wheel just spins and spins, and won’t load the content.

If I open using The Block Editor, the post opens up normally, and I am able to edit.

This issue is on a laptop/desktop. Mobile editing is not affected. Browser used is Chrome (updated to the current version). The website cache has been emptied. The website theme is updated.

Plugin has been deactivated and then reactivated. Plugin has been uninstalled and reinstalled. Plugin has been uninstalled and replaced with version 1.6.2. None of these attempts fixed the issue.

  • yes, you are right. same issue I am facing

    Me too

I am not able to replicate this issue. Have tested it on several websites, and posts seems to load just fine.

Can you try opening the Inspect window in the browser and see if you see any errors in the console? It will definitely help to identify the cause of the issue.

Whatever the issue is, it won’t let the page load. So when I right-click, the menu doesn’t open up. Ctrl + shift + I doesn’t work either. I can choose the developer tools from the 3 dot menu, but what comes up doesn’t show the details that you usually get from inspecting. There isn’t much information there – and no errors that I can see.

Disabling the All in seo plugin fixed the problem.

I think it is necessary to report the problem to the support page of the All in seo page and ask them to update.

Yes, deactivating All In One Seo does fix the issue.

As suggested by @kuantumx and @beddingdeals the problem is solved by disabling the All in One Seo plugin. Consultation, please: each user has to ask “All in One Seo” and “Cassic Editor 1.6.3” to solve the problem or could it be that through this Forum both development teams find out about the conflict?

    Thank you!

Hey! I’m using another plugin to disable Gutenber, but faced the same problem.

I found that Windows 11 isn’t affected (same as Android), the problem is on Windows 10 only.

I blew my mind trying to understand why everything is fine with me, but not working with my three colleagues.

I see that this issue has already been reported to the All In One SEO and Disable Gutenberg developers in their respective forums, so hopefully they’ll be able to have a look and make any necessary updates.

One thing to keep in mind is that plugin developers aren’t obliged to ensure that they remain compatible with the classic editor – so that’ll be up to each plugin developer to decide.

For everyone’s info, the All In One SEO support folks say?that they do plan to release an update soon to fix the incompatibility with the classic editor, so keep your eyes open for that.

I’ll mark this thread as resolved since the conflicting plugin will be fixed.

The problem is solved, whether you use block or a classic editor, the conflict between wordpress 6.2 version and all in seo has been resolved with the update published according to the description below. No problem on my site.

We’ve just released version 4.3.4.1 which fixes this issue.

The issue was caused by a conflict between our plugin and the emoji script of WordPress due to changes to that script in WordPress v6.2.

Please update to this latest version of All in One SEO and make sure to clear all caching, including server-side caching, WordPress caching (through any caching plugins), and browser caching.

Let us know if you still experience any issues after doing this.
