Posts with Thumbnail links on static page in WordPress

  • I have a question as that I have setup a Blog page on our site which is going well, however, we are interested in having the Posts on the Blog page appear as thumbnails which will then link to the post itself. I have had a look at the various plugins that have been created by people on WordPress such as “Get Post List with Thumbnails” and others. Is there a good plugin that can perfom this task easily or not?

  • you mean like magazine or gallery style ? just show the post thumbnails and clickable into post?

    as long as i know, you should edit your theme files.

    Yes, I am interested in having the look like a gallery style, and as I am new to aspects of WordPress, how would I edit the theme files and where? Currently using the Portfolio Press theme for the site & page, Also, a bit new to using CSS code as well…..

    Based on your theme structure, maybe on index.php or the other. Pretty complex tasks due you need to split thumbnails among few coloumns.

    (just like my site.. i like gallery style ^_^)

    Thanks for your comments. Do you know of a plugin that can do this, or would it be something that would have to be created using CSS code and also where to put the code into the theme files as well? Any suggestions and/ or guideance would be appreciated from anyone….
