There should already be one. When viewing an individual image, there is a link to the gallery to which it belongs just underneath it, in the post meta. You could use CSS to make the link more prominent, or look at the image.php template file to see how the link is generated and move it/add a new link elsewhere in the template file.

Great! I found it, but I think it was just information about the image or something like that, can I edit this text to make it more simple (like erasing the information about the image so it shows only the name of the gallery) ?
    Thanks you again Caroline!

how can I do this? I’m not sure what the image.php template file is or where to find it….
    Thanks!

You’ll find the image.php template file within the theme’s main directory. You could probably edit it within your Dashboard under Appearance -> Editor, or you could access the theme files via FTP.

    Hi Caroline,

First I’d like to say thank you for providing this great design. Just perfect for displaying my portfolio.

I’ve had a little problem trying to create the circles within the main circle. I’ve looked through quite a few forums but I haven’t found one that had the same problems like mine. I don’t know much about coding, and I wonder if I have somehow missed a step or something.

You can look at my website https://www.i-emma.net and see that I’ve tried creating the circles in the event and exhibition services. However, it becomes an oval kind of shape, I don’t know why that happened.

What I did is only to attach the images (from the dashboard) to the gallery formatted post and it becomes this shape, I’ve then tried to use the add media button from the post to add the images but that only becomes squares like what many people have experienced. I’ve also tried only uploading new images to the post and that doesn’t make a difference and I haven’t touched the settings of the thumbnail size either, so I really don’t know where the problem is. Please help!

Ensure that in the media settings, your thumbnails are set to square dimensions, then use a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails to regenerate them.

If that doesn’t work, please create a new topic with a link to a page demonstrating the problem.

It worked!! After using the regenerate thumbnail plugin, I found that some worked whilst other images stayed a weird oval shape. It was actually the image size that was affecting the shape of the circles as the small sized images worked perfectly, so I re-uploaded the images that were too big and now it all works fine.

Thanks for your help!! Very happy now ??
