• Duplicate meta descriptions for pages on my wordpress site are causing me problems. The system generates duplicate links in webmaster tool whenever I establish a new blog. As an illustration, when I establish a new blog called “new techniques,” Webmaster Tools shows the links below.

    domain.com/new-techniques/\s
    domain.com/new-techniques/201310/

Each link leads to the same page. Do you know why it’s happening? If you want to see the website’s genuine links, let me know! I appreciate you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • It’s possible that your WordPress site is generating duplicate meta descriptions for the new blog pages because of a plugin or theme function that is causing the system to generate multiple URLs for the same content. This can happen if the plugin or theme is not properly handling the creation of unique URLs or if there is a conflict with another plugin or theme on the site.

To fix this issue, you can try deactivating any plugins or themes that might be causing the problem and see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn’t work, you can try using a WordPress plugin like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Pack to set up custom meta descriptions for each page on your site. This will allow you to specify unique meta descriptions for each page, which should prevent the duplication issue.

You can also use the Google Search Console to fix any duplicate content issues on your site. To do this, go to the “Coverage” report in the Search Console and click on any pages with a “Duplicate” or “Duplicate, with slight differences” status. From there, you can use the “Set as Canonical” feature to specify which version of the page you want Google to index.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
