    Hi!

    I am a newbie using WP 4.5.2 with the Twenty Sixteen theme.

    This is what I done so far:

    (1) I added two pages: a static home page and a page about me.
    (2) In the top, I added three menu items: “Home” (for the static home page), “Blog, ” and “About Me”.

    How do I post to the “Blog”? I would like the posts to show up in Recent Comments, Archives, and Categories.

  • You’ll need to create a new page for your blog. You can then set the front page to use your Home page and the posts page to use your Blog page.

    This can be done by:

    1. Go to the Customizer
    2. Click the Static Front Page section
    3. Set “Front page displays” to “A static page.”
    4. Set the “Front page” to use the Home page you created.
    5. Set the “Posts page” to use the Blog page you created.
    6. Click “Save & Publish” at the top of the customizer panel.

    Once this is finished, you can create new Posts. Your posts will display on your Blog page.

    Don’t forget to add your Blog page to your navigation, too.
