Posts to appear in different boxes/look seperated

Actually, I’ve decided that I just want a simple break in between the posts. Is that possible? Switching colors with the colors I have going around on the site would be ridiculous.

adding border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc; to the style of the post div, for instance.

Alright, but where would that be located?
twenty ten theme of course

for example, the css classes:
.post or .hentry
either find them somewhere in style.css or make new styles for them.

I added this

.post{
border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc;
}

To my style.css and didn’t get anything
and then I added this

.hentry {
border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc;
}

and I got no result… tips?
