Posts stopped appearing on home page after publishing

I’ve just started a new WordPress blog at

(It’s still in development)

Originally there was a “Hello World” default post appearing on the homepage. In the Dashboard, I deleted that post, created a new one, and deleted the “Hello World” post. Now no new posts will appear on the homepage–I just get a 404 not found error.

I made sure that in the Reading Settings, I checked that the front page is set to display the latest posts.

I also tried changing the theme, but the problem is still there.
