Posts Showing As They Are Typed

When I type my posts (including pictures), the only thing showing up on the front page is the post (no pictures), which makes it one long paragraph that looks jumbled. I have already been advised to Set a Featured Image, but that isn’t what I’m going for.
What I want is for the whole post to show up just as I type it.
