• Something changed recently, and I don’t know why as I haven’t altered the css or php on my site for quite some time.

When logged out, all the text of each post appears in regular italics. When logged in, the content is normal.

Can anyone help me figure out what is causing this? I don’t want it to be italic, I want it to be standard text.

  • The display in Firefox is … odd.

Do you have any sort of admin toolbar ?

I just visited it and it’s in italics, so it’s not just your machine.

I also disabled CSS, and things remained in italics, so I ran it through the validator — failed, 37 errors, you might want to check that ;D

But running it through the validator showed that you have unclosed <i> tags. I expect this is something to do with the way your template is set up. Look for things to do with logging in in your main template file (probably called index.php, in your template directory). Indvidual post pages aren’t affected (though there is no rounded border on the bottom of them).

The things you’ll want to check are the “edit this post” tags, login/logout and wp-register. I expect you’ve done something funny with an <i> tag somewhere.

Helpful tip: get HTML-Kit (google it) and edit your template files with that. It’ll highlight PHP and HTML differently, so you can more easily see what’s going on.
