Posts page template

Hello,

Because my front page is also my posts page and For SEO purposes, I want to set the posts page as front page of my website. I want to achieve this using page template.

(Please note that I am aware that I can achieve this by selecting a page as posts page while leaving the front page blank)

To do this, I copied index.php to page-home.php.
The page is using the template, but does not display posts.

How can I make a page template display posts like a standard hueman posts page?
