Posts page only displays as front static page

  • I’ve been recreating a theme that I use as a personal portfolio and I ran into an issue where the posts page will only display as the static front page.

    That is the current one I am working on, the same thing but working is at:
    https://colbyfayock.com

    The point of the rewrite is just for me to practice with standards, but I was uploading files and I must have hit something because I started running into this issue.

    I checked all permissions as well as reinstalled WP like 2 times fresh databases each time as well and nothing fixed.
    Check settings that I could think of through the Site admin and checked all of my files where the possibility could be and couldn’t figure it out. Would be glad to post a zip with the files if I could get help on this!!
