    Thanks for your advice so far. Thinking a bit more about my issue I’ve reached the following conclusion:

    There is something in the Evolve php and/or css that’s stopping the links and italics that appear within my individual posts from appearing on the collected ‘Blog/news’ page.

    See this, which displays a link and italics:

    And then see this, where the italics and link don’t appear within the post:https://www.fontanelleproductions.com/news/

    I’d really like to remove the automatic read more button from the Blog/news page and then use the text in my post as the link to the article.

    I hope I’ve now been able to explain the issue more clearly—and that you can advise me on where I can go from here.

    Sorry-my blog page didn’t appear as a link in my previous message, but this should now work.

    This page https://www.fontanelleproductions.com/news/
    shows the excerpt using the_excerpt function.

    Your italics or link or any HTML will not show up.
    This is a WordPress behavior, only text show up in auto generated excerpt.

    If you need modification, Please hire a developer.

    Showing full content on grid will break the layout.

    To show full content, you can use single column layout. Theme Options -> BLog -> Blog layout Do not use grid layout
