Posts only visible in dashboard, not on website

I was trying to edit a page I had named “Stories” to “Blog Posts”. But after doing that, all of my posts had disappeared when I went to the website. I could only find them in my dashboard under All Posts (and for some reason Pages). Re-editing the name “Blog Posts” back to “Stories” didn’t help. Interestingly, earlier I had sent links of my posts to friends on Facebook and now when I go to Facebook and click on those links, the story/blog post appears as it should on my website. I hope I have explained this well enough – I am a novice and real klutz when it comes to setting up a website. Can anybody help me get my posts back?
