Posts on main page uppear as one long paragraph?

    Hi Zulfikar,
    On my main page only ‘Latest’ my post appear as one long paragraph with no space where the paragraphs should be separated? I have had this issue from the beginning, no amount of widget activating or inactivating have sorted this problem out?

    Hello Jas,

    Ridizain uses the_excerpt to render the home/blog feed content and by default WordPress strips out all markup from the excerpt – the content would therefore appear as one paragraph. The length of that paragraph will depend on the values set in the themes options for excerpt length.

    If you wish to show the entire content with all its markup then you may wish to consider using a child theme for that – a starter child theme that does exactly that is available here: https://ridizain.com/downloads/ridizain-starter-child/

    Ok thanks for that, I have purchased the Ridizain Child, now I’m not sure how to implement it to my current website, it has saved it to my computer hard drive?

    Zulfikar, is it at all possible to have only part of the post on main page, instead of the full post?

    With Ridizain that is the default – you’d just need to adjust the excerpt length as state earlier.

    With the child theme then on its own its a not but there a plugins you can employ to return just a portion of the content if so desired.

    Back to the child theme installation is exactly the same as you would with a standard theme – just upload and activate it ??

    That has now solved my issue! I have tried reducing & adjust the excerpt length in Customize, but never reduced it enough, to notice the change, now that I have its given me exactly what I was after.
