Posts on database missing in WP dashboard

  • After a database issue, I had to import (myphpadmin) some posts from an old DB to the news DB.

    While import was successful and the posts are in the database (I can see them but they have “inherit” instead of “publish” on them) they are not showing up on the dashboard or in the posts section of WP.

    Any thoughts? Just spinning my wheels here.

    As a test…..are you able to go into the database and modify the post status on one of the imported posts from inherit to publish to see it will make it available in dashboard as normal.

    can you see any other posts in the database that might be same name/title/content but are not published yet?

    Yes, we are missing a bunch of posts that are on the database but not showing up on the dash or the site.

    the other interesting thing…is that photos that were attached to the posts while missing from the media section on the site, are still visible if you use the url. If you upload a missing photo it changes the name to photo1.png.

    Too strange.

    I have exactly the same problem and no idea how to fix it. Where you able to resolve this Kburrows?
