    Hi Ajay

I had version 3.2.1 installed and working fine. Upgraded to 3.3.0, and ran the database updater, and then all the archive pages (for categories and tags) showed no posts!

I have gone back to 3.2.1, so can’t show you. But I have a local copy I can try tests on. The theme is a child theme of Generatepress 3.3.1

    Thanks,
    Mark

The plugin generated 502 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

Thank you both. I need to do some checking.

Would you be able to install query monitor and tell me what the queries are on these pages? I think there is some clash that isn’t being picked up.

Ok, I’ve installed query monitor. Does this screenshot help?

Or do you need the full queries? Not sure how best to send that..

Please can you look at the full query of wp_query- get_posts one above. It shows five. The typical one is with the Match in it for the term.

If you don’t have seamless mode enabled in the settings then you can select Query by component and find better search in the list first to get the query related to the get_posts

    i just installed it…zounds that’s a lotta info…but i see no queries from bsearch;-\

Do you see anything like this if you follow the instructions. Also can you turn off Seamless mode if it is on.

Just checked your site: https://cardinalglen.org/?s=cardinal and I can see search results.

Is this running 3.2.2? And, if you go to 3.3.0 then you don’t see any?

Turning off seamless mode solves the problem for me too.

I’m not sure which query you need, so here are 2 screenshots, if they help? If so, I can send you the sql for the one you need..

turning off seamless mode fixes v3.3.0-)

just installed on another website, v3.2.2 works in seamless mode, but there’s this:

Search: “waterfalls” We found 1 result for your search.

Search: “waterfa” We could not find any results for your search. You can give it another try through the search form below.

there is the naughty filter wholeword option, but not 1 for main search…

but the good noews is v3.3 works in seamless?mode, sso looks lie there’s a conflict somewhere on cardinalglen.org

@touchgallery, please can you see the link below for typical queries. Also can you check if you have the cache (in settings page) off.

@airdrummer, I’m thinking that you might probably need a full reinstall of the plugin. i.e. remove it completely and reinstall it. If you’re not too worried about the old search data in the database, a good idea would be to deactivate the plugin, delete it from the Plugins page and then reinstall it. You can potentially export the existing tables and then reimport it.

yes, i’ve r&r’d & it now works fine, both with & w/o seamless, thanx-)

but i’m still getting odd results on partial matches:

    https://letartliveon.com/?s=wible returns 6 matches, with expected hi-liting

https://letartliveon.com/?s=wib returns 6 matches, without expected hi-liting (i assume you wrap the span around whole words only)

    but https://letartliveon.com/?s=ible returns no matches

and the issue with https://asapackermansion.letartliveon.com remains, in reverse:

    /?s=waterfalls returns 1 hit with correct hi-liting

    /?s=waterfa returns none

but /?s=falls returns the 1 hit, but without hi-liting
