I’m using the EvolvePro Theme and I’ve set a static front page, which came out nicely, and created a page, in my menu, for my blog posts. I went to Customize to set up the static page and then for my posts page I selected the page I created and added to my menu. I set the template to “blog” and for some reason my post does not appear on this page. I’ve tried using other templates to no avail. Why are my posts not showing up on my posts page??

Do you have a setting in your theme which only shows posts from a specific category on the “posts” page?

It’s possible you first need to assign the post to a category, so that it properly displays on the “posts” page.

    Site URL Please?

    My Site: https://artbyjmiriam.com/#&panel1-3

Here are the instructions in my settings, which I have followed. I set up the page Welcome to Art by Jaclyn Miriam as my static front page. That page works perfectly. But I set up a second page, as instructed, titled ART by Jaclyn Miriam Blog. I set this page up as my posts page. I can’t figure out why it won’t work. For the sake of having some kind of temporary visible link to my blog I added a “Recent Posts” widget to the header of my ART by Jaclyn Miriam page, but I would like to get my page REALLY set up as my posts page. And like I said before, I thought maybe changing the template of the ART by Jaclyn Miriam page would work, but that didn’t do anything.

    The Instructions from my settings:

“This screen contains the settings that affect the display of your content.

You can choose what’s displayed on the front page of your site. It can be posts in reverse chronological order (classic blog), or a fixed/static page. To set a static home page, you first need to create two Pages. One will become the front page, and the other will be where your posts are displayed.

You can also control the display of your content in RSS feeds, including the maximum numbers of posts to display and whether to show full text or a summary.

You must click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen for new settings to take effect.”

It all seems very simple; I’m stumped as to why it isn’t working.

    Thanks!

I’m having the same issue. Any progress?

No progress yet! It took me forever and a day to figure out how to manipulate the sliders with my theme…this has to be a much simpler solution than that! I’m just so surprised I can’t figure it out. I wish I knew code better, then I could probably rewrite it however I want it. But really, this has to be a simple fix.

I’ve gone through all of my post styling settings with my theme, I’ve gone through my main settings, I’ve gone to customize settings…I don’t get it. There’s no place to adjust anything on the actual posts themselves and the only options for manipulating the pages are changing the templates, which doesn’t appear to do anything.

    *Mind. Blown.*

    Good luck to you!

    I don’t understand?!

    This is your site??

But this is your WordPress blog??

    1. What is the link to the posts page where you are not seeing your posts?
    2. In your admin -> settings -> reading…
    – What do you have set for “Front Page”?
    – What do you have set for “Posts Page”?

I fixed my blog by creating a new page template and applying it to my blog page.

No, no, I have two blogs, one for my artwork and one on wordpress.com for my law of attraction and spiritual studies. I have created a page that’s a link to the wordpress.com blog and that works fine. But the page I designated to be my posts page on my https://www.artbyjmiriam.com site does not work.

I’m not sure what you mean, you created a new page template and applied it to your blog page? I don’t know what that means. I created a page for my posts page, so its a new page. And I tried every template, but my posts still won’t show up on the page they’re assigned to.

I guess I could just start over and try again if that’s what you did that worked.

Weird…I tried 3 new pages and it didn’t work. Then I went back to the original page I created for my blog and added it as a sub item to my static page and it worked. Then I moved it where I wanted it in my menu and it still works. I have no idea what was wrong and no idea why it works now, but it does lol. And I didn’t do anything different. Ah well, problem solved I guess!

Glad you figured it out ??

I listed that above more than once, I set the page “Welcome to Art by Jaclyn Miriam” as my static page, or ‘Front Page’ and I set the page “ART by Jaclyn Miriam Blog” as my ‘Posts Page’.

It makes no sense. It just randomly started working after I moved the page I set as my posts page all over my menu. Maybe some sort of glitch or something that worked itself out.

Anyway, thanks! I’ll mark this resolved now.
