Posts not showing in IE7

Did you validate your style.css and any other stylesheets? Have you tried emptying the IE browser cache? Are you using any browser detection or IE-specific css?

Style.css validates
2c-r.css validates

IE browser cache emptied (twice)

Not using anything other than the sandbox theme, so no browser detect, no IE specific css.

This only seems to happen when I am using 2c-r.css. I can find nothing about problems on this forum or the Sandbox forums.

I am flumoxed.

This page in firefox appears fine, but in IE7, everything loads fine an well EXCEPT all of the text (text loads according to the source too)

I’m stumped. I ran validator on my css and xhtml, and all passes…. frustrating. From further investigation it is happening to ALL of the pages at the same ‘level’ of my site.

Any help greatly appreciated

On further investigation, I think it has something to do with the ‘float’ property I am using in my CSS on these lines:

295 .mask-main .col3
295 .mask-main .col2
295 .mask-main .col1
405 #nav-wrap2 ul#nav li
414 #nav-wrap2 ul#nav li a
952 .left
1081 .alignleft
1084 .alignright

Validator is stating that “In (x)HTML+CSS, floated elements need to have a width declared. Only elements with an intrinsic width (html, img, input, textarea, select, or object) are not affected”

When I strip these lines of code, the text in question on these pages appears, but obviously is a complete mess with these parts missing – I am not sure how to get around this, but I will keep on at it (of course if there is anyone out there who knows how to sort this I would appreciate it tremendously!)

to all the ‘float’s that were being flagged in validator…. still dont show in ie7 – FFS im off to bed, better luck with a fresh head perhaps…… damn you Bill

If you think it’s a CSS issue, you could try serving up an IE7 (or less) specific sheet using a conditional comment.
