Posts not showing images – post won't publish if images in it

    Having lots of issues with wordpress at mo ?? so updated it to latest version and managed to get it so I can add photos into posts. However as soon as I add a photo in to a post the post won’t publish. If I take the images out the post will publish.

    In the post edit page if I add images, they add ok using media gallery, but as soon as I press publish it takes back to list of all posts with that post unchanged and with no images.

    Very frustrating, any ideas why this is happening?

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all other plugins deactivated?

    I deactivated all plugins and activated Twenty Thirteen theme and no joy. Still doing same thing. Then tried reactivating plugins and now I can’t do anything just getting ‘Server Error’ (code 500) on every page, wordpress is sooooooooooo frustrating at the moment it’s 1 step forward and 2 back all the time. Spent hours yesterday just updating wordpress and then getting add media to work in edit post, now can add within editing page can’t publish. Rant over, sigh ??

    Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.

    Not quite sure how to interpret my error logs and when the issue exactly occured, cos first issue was unable to get images at all then it was previewing or publishing, them these errors seem to come up a lot around those days i was trying to sort it…

    suggests changing /usr/local/lib/php.ini but where do I find that file?

    and does it work?
