    Facing multiple issues with WP clients and post updation. Happened with 2 posts. Process as follows:

    1) Created a new post on 1st June in the desktop WP client
    2) Finalised the post on 29th June. Added all the images in media library, inserted in post etc. Made sure I saved the draft.
    3) Next day wanted to post. Was out of home so thought of doing so from mobile app. Saw post hadn’t updated in mobile app. None of the images were present even after refreshing app multiple times.
    5) Accessed wp-admin from chrome on mobile. Same problem. Post not updated. No images present.
    6) Finally reached home. Accessed wp-admin from desktop. Funnily enough post was not updated there as well. Images present in media library but not inserted in post with the captions.
    7) Went on post revisions. There, the LAST revision was CLEARLY the latest one with all the pictures, captions and the correct timestamp as well. But if I switched back to the blog post mode (with the editor), it showed an old version as the latest one.
    8) Finally, with no other option, had to copy the entire text from revisions tab and redo the entire post content.
    9) On posting, the date of publish was shown as June 1 – the date of post creation.
    10) On changing the date to the current date (date of publish) The post went on schedule mode because of (I THINK) time difference between UK (where I am based) and whatever time zone WP is using even though in my settings the time is updated to GMT.

    5 problems just to put out one simple post. Really is this how WP is supposed to work? Happened with 2 posts now. I end up wasting a fair amount of time doing just this.

    PLEASEEE HELP!!!!!

  • First, is the mobile app updated to the latest version? Is your phone’s operating system updated to the latest version?

    If you log in on a mobile browser instead of the app, do you still have the same problem? (FWIW, I ditched the mobile app ages ago because WP’s backend works beautifully on mobile. Your mileage may vary, however.)

    Try deleting the mobile app (log out of it first) and its data, restarting your phone, and then reinstalling the mobile app. It’s possible your mobile app has a glitch in it somewhere.

    Thanks @kjodle . The app and OS everything is up to date. I will still reinstall the app as per your suggestion.

    The other main problem is that even on the desktop client, the posts are not saved inspite of saving them. The revisions tab show latest post as the latest revision but the post tab continues to show an old revision which is very frustrating. Would you have some idea about that issue?

    If you have a caching plugin, try disabling it for a while and see if that makes the issue go away.
