• I have a VERY strange issue. I have my posts going to a static page. When we post, the recent post won’t appear until we post another one after it! It’s like it’s posting one post behind.

Check out drlind.com and click the 4Eyes Blog. The only reason “Urban Jungle” is showing is because we put another post today… and today’s post isn’t showing, obviously.

    Help?

Well, let’s try this again. Using StrapVert, the most recent post in the blog will NOT appear. If I post another one after it, then it will appear, but the last post will not.

I have tried deactivating plugins, making a new blog page, switching to twenty-fourteen (which works — actually, any other theme I switch to, works correctly). It’s just StrapVert that refuses to play nice. And the theme is not modified.

Next, I set up a dummy blog with very little info, installed StrapVert, no plugins… two posts, and I get “Nothing Found”. Whole other website.

I’ve scoured this support section, both before I posted the original note, and today, a month later. I’ve tried the things mentioned.
I’m running WP 3.9.1, StrapVert v.1.2.4. I notice the StrapVert site is not accessible, does that mean I’m left to having to rebuild the site in another theme and leaving unfavorable feedback? Or can someone offer some help?

    Hi,

It seems that answers are hard to get for this theme.

    Just a thought,
Did you try deactivating the cache plugin?

    I got it!

Strapvert uses an Odd number for the featured posts and displays them by default by date from new to old. If you hide the top featured section, it has the most recent post, so it will be hidden until you “push” it with a more recent one. If you still want to continue to hide the top featured section, you can solve this problem by displaying the featured posts from Old to New. This way you have the oldest featured post always displayed in the top featured section! Voilà!

You can take a look about how I’ve done that on my site celebritiesreport.com
