Posts missing from Google News sitemap

    I have turned on google news sitemap and set it so that it only lists posts from “travel news” categories, but it has only listed 1 article even though there are multiple in that same category.

    I have tried resetting, reinstalling, etc, but it does the same thing.

    I have been using wordpress for over a decade so tried everything I can, but it just still lists just one post.

    Only thing I can think of is post recency?
    The posts missing are older than 48 hours. Is that it?
    I couldn’t find an answer.

    That could be it, yes. The news sitemap only shows posts from the last 2 days according to the news sitemap protocol. Sorry that caused you so much extra work. I’ll make a note to add information about that on the admin page…

    Note: the exception being that if there are no posts in the last 48 hours, then the very last post will be shown. this is to prevent errors reported in Google Search Console.

    Thanks for replying, that will be it then. Just wanted to confirm.

    Really love the plugin btw. I have tried a few so was happy to find yours.
