Posts missing after a database export and reimport, but there in the database

    Hi there,

    We recently moved a client’s entire site over into a new theme we were working on.

    After a bit of initial bug fixing you get with any site you move, the site was live, posts were there.

    About a week later, the client pointed out that some of her posts were missing. The odd thing was we could see it in the database, and if you went to post.php?post=[ID]&action=edit you could see the post and all the settings etc, but as soon as you tried to view it, it just shows a 404 page.

    I cannot tell why some posts are working, and some are not, they seem the same in the database.

    Any help on this would be appreciated, any extra info needed please let me know.

    As a possible work around for me at least, I am going to customise the 404 page to check the page URL, to see if I can pull it directly out of the database, but this is in no way a fix.

    This was fixed, if anyone has this problem it was caused by Advanced Category Excluder. Seems some extra categories became selected after update.
