    Try resetting your permalinks.

    * Visit Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks
    * Select Default, save (take note if you have a custom permalink structure)
    * Select your previous permalink structure

    If I could treat you to your drink of choice I would. Thank you is not sufficient. I did have a custom setting which I had thought was category but it was not working. Going to default got everything back. How do you feel about ‘pretty links’? Should I change file names on the core pages and posts to be seo friendly? Or stay with the obtuse reference they assign?

    As to your referral to the codex sheet on moving to a new server that is what I tried to do. I must have messed up somewhere. But… try try again.

    Again, thank you for your help. Really great advise and on the money. Thanks.

    If SEO is a concern for you, I would most definitely recommend using “pretty links” and always be mindful of what you name your pages and posts.

    Edit: Also, if you’ve been linking “within” your posts/pages then it might be in your visitors best interest to restore the previous permalink structure, otherwise you might be sending them on a while goose chase if you’ve linked to other content in your site.

    And you’re very welcome. You don’t have to buy me a drink, but you can recommend a good bar here in the Bay area. Visiting for the week for a conference and the hotel bar is a little boring. ??
