• This is probably a really amateur question but here we go…

I have 2 wordpress blogs, one hosted by wordpress and the other is self-hosted but linked to my wordpress.com account via jetpack.

The wordpress hosted one’s posts appear in Reader and it gets followers from there.

The self-hosted one’s posts don’t seem to appear in Reader and consequently it gets no followers from there.
    https://styleldn.com

Both sites appear in my wordpress.com ‘My Sites’ area, with stats etc.

As you can see from the links, the first is only a hobby blog about a puppy with infrequent posts, the second is large fashion website with regular posts that (logically speaking) should get much higher interest than the first one.

So my question is this… how do I get my self-hosted wordpress to appear in Reader? And, if it isn’t possible then is there another way to make my blog visible to other wordpress users?

Any advice would be appreciated. Many Thanks.

  • Hello, I read somewhere that self-hosted blogs don’t appear in the reader under general tags, only if someone already follows your blog.

Have you found this to be true? If not, I have the same question and would love to hear if you ever found a a solution. Thanks!
