• Hey,
I’m setting up a blog for a friend using WP 1.0 Platinum. The blog has 6 categories, each of which is a sort of section of the blog (so that it’s more like a magazine, really). What I want on the main page is this:
Category 1: Latest Story in Category 1
Category 2: Latest Story in Category 2
…and so on, where WP pulls the latest story by category, rather than by date. In other words, category 1 should always be at the top of the page, then category 2, etc.
I have no clue how to make this happen. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Devan

Not having any categories on my own site, I’m not really used to thinking about them…so I missed the VERY obvious solution here, which is just to use the Edit Timestamp feature to get all the posts to appear in the right order (having limited the number of posts on the main page to six, or one for each category).
