Posts don't show on Blog page

My post is not showing on the Blog page I created or on the primary sidebar widget even though the widget “Recent Posts” is inserted. My blog page slug is blog-2. I try to put that in the permalink of the blog post but it won’t take. I can’t figure out what I am missing.
