Posts don’t display

  • I have made 5 posts and none of them show up. Not even the default hello world post is displayed. I checked the database and the posts are there, they just aren’t being shown. Any ideas?

    Were your posts definitely set for Publish ?
    If they were inadvertently saved, they won’t show ….

    The posts don’t show up in any view. Not even in the admin view. I can see that users have posts on the user page but the edit page is empty. Also, in the DB the post_status for all posts is “publish”.

    May I suggest running wp-admin/upgrade.php if you upgraded to 1.2. If it is a new install, you can still run upgrade.php , it won;t hurt.
    There may be some core files missing, so maybe you could delete all the wp files, and re upload.

    You could delete those most recent posts and see if everything returns to normal.
    If it does, then re-enter those posts one by one. checking that your site works properly between each one.
    If an error does occur, and this error is repeatable, full details posted here would be appreciated by the devs I’m sure.

    To me this looks like a server / mysql glitch.

    Well I broke down, deleted the database, and reinstalled. Everything seems better.
    I hope that this doesn’t occur again later after I have actual posts at stake.

    Backups are good.
