Posts Disappearing & Pages not Publishing

I’m having a couple of problems and wonder if someone might be able to help me.

1. Everynow and again the posts I have made disappear. And the error message “not found” appears.

2. I cannot publish any pages, the error message “File Not Found – Sorry, but the page you requested cannot be found.” appears.

Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks.
