Posts Calendar not switching months

I have put in the calendar widget but it doesn’t show any navigation to change months. There’s only a link to get the previous month’s posts. I want visitors to be able to cycle through previous months and click on a date to see all the posts on that date, say three or four months in the past.

Is this possible?
