Posts are showing full text not summary?

  • I want my posts to show as a summary and not full text. I went to Read and checked the Summary but still get full text. Maybe this is part of the problem, I used the past DOC button and didn’t write the post in the post editor, could that be it? Any ideas how to fix this?

  • The summary setting only has to do with feeds. Change the_content to the _excerpt in your index.php (and other theme files) to change to excerpts.
