Posts and Pages from backup database.

I recently backed up my database and saved it to my desktop. (I did this because I wanted to uninstall wordpress from my domain and start afresh)
However, where are my posts and pages saved in my database? I can’t seem to find them and there’s too much information to sift through. If anyone could tell me where to look that would be very much appreciated.
Are posts definitely saved in database backups? I only had a few and I would like to take the content from them and use it for new posts.
