• OK, for the past three days I’ve been having issues with /wordpress/wp-admin/post.php giving me a “Page Not Found because the connection to the server was reset” error.

I called my hosting company and they said everything was working properly, and to try reinstalling wordpress. So, I installed wordpress to a new folder, but pointed it to the same database so I wouldn’t have to go through all the export/import crap.

I still get the post.php error from above though.

Any thoughts on how to fix this? I primarily get it when using the admin features to preview, save, etc.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
